Has Your Right of Entry From Been Received?
From Trish Peterson: Several people are wondering if their entry form was received, if it was correct, when will the work begin, etc. Here's an answer from Melinda Barrett, who is the program manager (from the Mariposa County Resource Conservation District) for this grant to remove dead logs and debris from everyone's property.
We are tracking forms received. Anyone can email [email protected] to verify if their form is in our hands. Once we have a contractor hired we’ll formalize the on-site visit schedule and determine the best way for people who want to be there to know when.
Thanks,
Melinda

The Return of Tom Bopp At The Wawona Hotel Christmas Tree Lighting December 18!
Dear Friends,
I’ll see you at the Wawona Tree Lighting, which happens at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18.
With my electric piano, in a splendidly barricaded and safely distanced corner of the hotel veranda, I’ll carol you from 4 p.m. for as long as you like, or until the propane runs out on our five space-heaters.
Whether rain or snow or frosty starlit skies, we’ll have hot beverages and other goodies to warm you up, while you show off your favorite winter duds (Old Norwegian Saying: “There’s no bad weather, only bad clothes!”). You’re requested to flaunt your favorite holiday masks, too, as required for groups in outdoor spaces by our friends at the NPS.
Drenched in the glow of the legendary seasonal decorations by Wawona artist, Lisza McKee-Mark, caressed by old time music echoing from the hotel, you can mosey and mill around on the front lawn, or porch, caringly distanced, so that none need feel anything but holiday cheer and good will!
Bring your cameras (or phones…whatever) to document the occasion. And, by gum, let’s show this old world that no matter how weird it wants to get, Wawona intends to cling to tradition! Pretty much.
