Pile Burning
There will be pile burning in next week south of the Wawona community (and in the Valley near the clinic and Ahwahnee Hotel as well as Foresta). We aren't planning on any burning over the weekend at all - smoke will likely be visible throughout the week. I'll be around if there are any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Nancy

Important Information for Guests Entering Park Between February 10th and 26th
VACATION RENTAL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What about guests that arrive before the reservation system starts but depart on or after February 10, 2023?
Anyone staying at your rental between February 10th and February 26th should be entered into your online form/spreadsheet, even if they arrive prior to the reservation system start date. The receipt your guest receives when they arrive (prior to February 10) will get them back into the park (entrance fees provide 7 days of access) and entering their reservation into your online form will ensure the entrance station can look up their reservation information.
What about guests that arrive in between the weekends dates reservations are required?
Same scenario as above, anyone staying at your rental between February 10th and 26th needs to be entered onto your rental’s online form / spreadsheet, no matter what their arrival date is. They should keep their receipt for the duration of their stay to prove they have paid the entrance fee if they leave and re-enter.
I no longer have the link / access to enter reservations to the online form / spreadsheet.
How do I get access?
Email [email protected] and we will resend the link to the registered account.
Who can submit reservation information into the gate list?
Vacation rental owners / operators with a valid Transient Occupancy Certificate issued by Mariposa County can submit reservations through their online form / spreadsheet. We are using the same forms and spreadsheets as we did for the past two summers.
Will my vacation rental guests still need to pay the entrance fee?
All guests will be required to pay the entry fee or show a valid Interagency lifetime or annual pass.
What proof does my vacation rental guest need to get into the gate?
Each vehicle entering the park will need the photo ID (or copy of photo ID) of the reservation holder. The entrance station staff will look up the reservation using the reservation holder's name. As a back-up, they will ask your guest for proof of reservation (whatever confirmation you send them; this does not need to be customized to the renter, it could be the directions to your property that you send out, or another confirmation of where they are staying).
What should I do if I have entered a reservation into the online form and the guest cancels?
Click on the link to your online form then look in the top header section. Click on the link in the header and you will have a list of all your submitted reservations. If a guest cancels, simply put an X in the “X Cancelled" column for that row and it will not be sent to the gate list. While it is okay to delete a row in your reservation spreadsheet, it could cause problems with folks accidentally deleting their records, so use the X in the “X Cancelled” column to be safe.
What should I do if a guest changes the dates of their reservation?
You can make any edits you like on your reservation spreadsheet (linked in the header of the online form) until 9pm of the night before the guest arrives. Between 9pm and 6am the gate list is produced and any changes you make will not be included. The reservation is moved into the gate list one time, the night before they arrive. If you guest decides to extend their stay and it’s past 9pm on the night before they arrive, add another reservation with their name and use their original departure date as their new arrival date and extend from there.
What if my guest arrives when the gate is unstaffed?
Since we are not implementing the Peak Hours Reservation System that was in place last summer, your guest will need to fill out a “self-certification card” at the entrance gate after hours. This will ensure they have a window card during the weekend reservation dates. A self-certification card is not valid for re-entry, your guest would be issued a new windshield card by gate staff after paying the entrance fee or showing an interagency pass.
What should I do if someone books my cabin on the same day they arrive?
Guests who book the day of arrival will not be on the gate list. They should have proof of their reservation and the photo ID (or copy of the photo ID) for the reservation holder.
Can I add reservations directly onto the reservation spreadsheet (linked in the header of the online form)?
Yes. You may enter your reservations directly into your reservation spreadsheet if you prefer that instead of using the online form. Any entries made on the form will populate the list. You may use a combination of the form and the list. Using the online form helps format the dates correctly, so if you decide to enter your reservations on the spreadsheet instead, be very careful to enter in your dates correctly so they show up on the gate list.
Can I sort the reservation list by property or arrival date?
Yes, sorting the list does not affect it being transferred into the gate list.
What if I have other people that also manage the bookings, how do they get access?
If there are other people that need to access your properties online form, email [email protected] with the property address, TOT Certificate #, the person's name and email and we will grant them access. All businesses operating rentals on the owner's behalf need to be listed as the operator in Mariposa County's TOT records.
Is there an access code needed to open the spreadsheet?
Yes, to open the reservation spreadsheet you will need a one-time access code. When opening the reservation spreadsheet, a one-time access code will be sent to the email address listed. This may sometimes end up in your junk/spam folder so be sure to check in there. Your access may need to be renewed throughout the summer, so you may have to repeat this step. If you cannot access the spreadsheet and have checked your junk/spam folder, you can email us at [email protected] and we can try to assist or give you access from another email account you have.
Who should I contact if I have issues with my online form or reservation spreadsheet?
You should send any issues via email to [email protected]
Thanks!
